chuck renewed!

11 May

So I was planning to put up a “Save Chuck!” post today, but from what I just found out now, Chuck has actually been renewed. Whoo!

However, that doesn’t change the fact that Chuck is constantly in danger of cancellation. Chuck has been one of my favorite shows for a while, and it was already cancelled once back in 2009 after the second season. It’s on its fourth now, and the viewers have been dropping once again. I know very few people will read this, but I at least want to lament about the possible (second) cancellation of my beloved Chuck.

How can you resist that adorable nerd and Bond reference?

If you haven’t watched it or even heard about it, you should definitely check it out. It’s a story of your average geek (who works at a Best Buy parody as part of the “Nerd Herd”) getting tangled up with the CIA and a program called the “Intersect” and eventually actually becoming a spy himself. I’d recommend at least seeing the season finale next Monday at 8 on NBC to see if it’s your kind of show as well as helping the viewer count.

So…

Watch Chuck!

just an introduction

Quick facts:

  • My name is Fiona.
  • I’m half white, half Filipino.
  • I was born in Norfolk, VA, but have lived in San Diego, CA since I was 6.
  • Graduating from high school this year– whoo 2011!

An older drawing of characters for a forever ongoing project

I’m your average geek/nerd/dork, I like video games, drawing, music, anime, etc. I also have a bad habit of starting projects and never finishing them, and I’m sure a lot of those projects will end up getting a bunch of spotlight in this here blog (if I don’t decide to drop it). Along with talks of those projects (amongst which are comic ideas, video games, and a Pokemon hack), I’ll muse about new and old games, obscure music I love, sites I’ve stumbled upon, and maybe random things here and there such as a review of a j-drama I’m watching.

To kick it off, those projects…

I’ll go into detail later on, of course, but they include:

S.E.A Breeze: Your average high school story with a twist– it takes place in a world in which some people called elementalists (or elems for short) can control one of 6 elements. The Six Elements Academy has just opened, and have only accepted the best of the best elems from around the world. That, however, doesn’t mean the school will be full of the most morally sound students. While our unambitious hero, Skye, adjusts to life at an actual school, what kind of trouble will be brewing underneath the surface?

Untitled Zombie Game: A co-op, sandbox-style, beat-em-up. Zombies will be constantly after you, and so you (and a friend) must fight to make your way out of the school. While you do have the option to stick to fists, the preferable method to take them out would be to use nearly anything you can get your hands on– desks, books, mops, fire extinguishers, etc. Along the way, you’ll meet interesting characters, (hopefully) progress through the storyline, and finally get to safety.

Pokemon Pink Jelly: A FireRed hack. Having just turned 16, you get to pick up your first Pokemon, a Ditto! With this pink blob of jelly, you get to traverse a new region where everything isn’t just happy rainbows. People lie, cheat, and steal, and a new organization on the search for the Pokemon that created the world (and thus destroy it) is inching their way towards their goal. Can a mere Ditto help save the bleak world?
